Frequently asked questions

Can’t find your answer? Get in touch.

Who are the courses suitable for?

My courses are for professionals who use data at work. Power BI Foundations and AI in the Workplace are for complete beginners, and the other courses build on Excel or Power BI skills you already have.

Are the sessions live or pre-recorded?

Every session is live and led by me. You learn in real time, ask questions as you go and get feedback on your work. There are no pre-recorded videos.

How many people are in each class?

Each course is taught in a small group of four to six learners. This ensures plenty of individual attention and a supportive learning environment where you can progress with confidence.

Do I need any prior experience with Excel or Power BI?

Not for Power BI Foundations or AI in the Workplace, which start from scratch. The two Excel courses and Power BI Intermediate assume some experience, and each course description says what you should already know.

When do the sessions run?

Sessions usually run on weekdays from 10am to 12pm UK time.

Do I need specialist equipment?

You’ll need a computer with the desktop version of Microsoft 365 Excel, Microsoft Teams and a reliable internet connection. For Power BI courses, install the free Power BI Desktop. It runs on Windows only, so Mac users will need a Windows laptop or virtual machine.

How do I book?

Click “Book now” on the course you want, or get in touch. I’ll confirm your place and send you an invoice.

Is VAT added to the prices?

No. I’m not VAT registered, so the price shown is the price you pay.

Which platform do you use?

All sessions run live on Microsoft Teams. I’ll send you a joining link before your first session.

Can you train my whole team?

Yes. I run private sessions for teams, built around your own data and tools. See team training for details.
